Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 12v to 24 v

What all does it take to put a 12v pump on my 24v????Just an idea thats been floating through my head for awhile

I just checked Diesel Dynamics website. I thought that they used to do that. It has been done. It is expensive. I would suggest giving them a call. Possible PM hvac, he may be able to point you in the right direction.

As well as the pump, you need the fuel lines (custom) and mount for the pump. (probably also custom) There is probably a lot more that I don't know about.



It sounds like it could run into $$$$



Maybe try a search for P*pump conversion.

www.piersdiesel.com and www.scheiddiesel.com are two of the more experienced shops in having done those conversions. They'll sell you the parts to get it done. Lot of work and $$$ involved.

I love the 12 valve engines, any true Cummins enthusiast does...

BUT... . 700 HP is possible even with the VP44 pump !

Your money might be better spent on transmission mods to put the power to the ground, unless you got enough $$$ to do both.....
