My 1995 12v runs good, but I have an opportunity to buy a near new 24v complete with wiring/boxes very inexpensively. Has anyone looked into swapping these engines? What would be the most hassle free way of doing it. ?

If it were my truck, I'd put a 97 or 98 pump on the truck with a few other slight mods. You can get the ISB engines to run very good, but I still favor the manual engines. The only way I would R&R a 12 for a 24 valve is if the 12 valve is blown and you got a good deal on the 24 valve. Don't get me wrong, it can be done. BUT it takes a lot more time and money to install the 24 valve than it would to hop up the 12 valve. Just my opinion:)

I'm with lmitchell. The easiest way to swap is not to swap. The 12v can be hopped up easily and cheaply. Drop the 24v into something else.
