Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 12v trans in a 24v?

The transmission in my sister's truck (2000 2500 4x4 auto) has just bit the dust. I have found a wrecked 1995 4x4 auto that has a good trans and I would like to use the rest of the truck as a donor for my 47 power wagon project. My question is will the trans from the 12v work in my sister's 24v? Is there anything that needs to be changed (electronics, wiring, etc)? I'm not super familiar with the a/t in these trucks b/c mine has the nv4500. It would be great if it would swap right over, then I could just find an nv4500 for my power wagon project and we would be all set! Thanks in advance for the response!

No, they won't direct swap. The 95 is a 47RH with the 2000 being a 47RE. Major differences between operation. You can put the RH in there but it will take fiddling to get things hooked up and working correctly.

The 47RE wasn't introduced until the 1996 model year. I had one in my 1996 Ram 3500 V-10 dually.
