12volt small flatscreen digital tv

looking for a flat screen for my slide on camper thats 12volt,and dig. ready for next year.

All i can find are 120v ac. I dont always like the honda gen. running and im trying to stay away from running the inverter for tv use.

Any ideas?

Do-able - and I have a 17" screen on my laptop - but sorta hard to figure the $$$ efficiency in using a $900 PC just to watch TV. I guess it might make sense if only done occasionally - but on a regular basis, think I'd go for a dedicated TV, and spare the PC for what it is actually designed for...



Besides that, laptop sound really SUCKS! :-laf

Most flat screens have very low power draw... why don't you go and look at some of them and find one you like... and see what the wattage draw is. . and than see if an inverter will do the job for you...

We run our laptops and other electronics in our 5er with inverters all the time... .

Some of the lcd tvs use a "brick" poser supply to supply 12v DC to the tv, I have been doing this for 3 years w/o a problem for one of the sets. Some people will say this is a not a good idea, go to Sams and get an extened warranty, just incase. But now that I am getting ready for digital and the boxes are 110v AC will have to start using the inverter, but with 400 amps of 12v batteries this will not be a problem.
