Here I am

14 2500 in Limp Mode

Stuck in Twin Falls, ID P207F

I have a 2014 6.7L both EGR and DPF deleted but today out of the blue today I got a P0472(Exhaust Pressure Sensor A Circuit Low) and a U029D(Lost Communication with NOX Sensor 'A').

Then the truck went into limp mode and I had a heck of a time getting home. Aren't both of the sensors involved in these messages disabled by the tuner?

Hopefully this is a quick fix, any help is appreciated!

In the old days it was easy when something failed you just unloaded the tuner (back to stock) your situation will probably be needing the outfit that you bought it from to help troubleshoot your problem. Hopefully someone will chime in for you

If it reverts back to stock, wouldn't the truck then require all of those sensors to be plugged in?

Hence the problem these days with disabling the emission system.. Its not the 70s anymore and these issues are only going to get harder to resolve.

So at this point, you guys are thinking my only option is to get back with the shop that the tune was done by? Anything I can check by chance? Just seems weird to happen out of nowhere, to what I think aren't even sensors connected in the truck right now.

Hopefully the shop that did work would be able to help you now. With all the crack down and fines being thrown around, they may not be able to help. Good luck with the situation that you're in.

I want to make sure I understand this scenario, so please don't interpret my response as anger, it's not in the slightest. With three different people here all chiming in and wishing me luck on this issue, does that mean that I won't get any help for this issue here, presumably because of the delete?(Didn't know if certain forums don't help deleted vehicles) Or is it really out of the hands of the forumgoers here? As I said, not angry but wanted to just understand fully and certainly don't want to put anyone in a bad spot for offering something they shouldn't be :)

None taken, It's that not many in your situation are making things public. There has been crack downs and big fines to shops that do that type of work, Most if not all dealers won't take a trade if truck has been deleted. I was thinking of going down that road until they started with the enforcement! There were so many different type of programs written and they become corrupted over time. Just as with any type of computer program can. Hopefully there may be some help out there for you. May be far and wide. Again, best of luck!

You have to realize that the delete tune fools the computer in thinking all the sensors are within normal range. You need to get back to your vendor who sold it to you. Hopefully you kept all your stuff you pulled off. Not sure how you wipe the tune off your computer? We want to help just not much we can do.

We use to say "You are your own warranty station"! As others have voiced this issue in now on steroids with the EPA flexing it's muscles against suppliers, turners, installers, and at some point is going to go after consumers.

Sure, that's perfectly understandable. I'm relatively new to deleting/tuning outside of the work I did a year or two ago for the initial delete/tune so just wanted to make sure I understood what was being told to me. I do understand what you are telling me though, so thank you for that.

Are both of the error codes that are appearing related to deleted components/sensors?

I really don't know what a Delete is or does, at a high level I understand it but my 96 is a Dinosaur.

I would crawl under and look for unplugged connectors and see if they have dummy plugs in them.

Either way here is what I could find, just on that Code.

If they are pulling the sensors and possibly putting in some sort of jumper connector is it possible the wiring has an issue?

Thanks for the information(images removed for the brevity of reply message). Are you reading these from a specific app? I have used a lot of error code apps and I like the way the information is presented in this one. I will take a look at all the plugs and electrical connections, etc.

I have an ALLDATA account for my work trucks.

You can do ALLDATA DIY, it's a little pricey but it has a ton of stuff. Think it's $200 per year. But you can do a month.

TechAuthority also as a 3 day deal for like $36.

Not sure if I'll keep the account, it's $199 per month, we sure do get alot of use out of if.

Due to file sizes it's pretty impossible to post most of it.

If I'm bored I go on here and dig around for stuff and posts that are intresting. Most of the time it's a waste, but keeps me from doing say real work.

The problem is that you don't have an FCA vehicle anymore from the view of the software it is running on.
We see these problems here more and more showing up and that's why we strongly discourage a delete.
Like others say the only person that can help you out here is the person that has written the delete tune for your specific truck.
Because every "deleter" does it in his own way, there is no general delete tune available.

Fully understand this, thank you.

Some tuners stay with the truck. Most of these are switchable between HP and torque. (Smarty Ultra, RaceME, and MM3 are some of these.) Then, other tuners are removed after the ECM is over written with the new file. If the OP has a unit that is switchable and stays with the truck, his truck may have just lost communication with the tuner, ie. a bad cable or a lose connector. The tuner is simply fooling the ECM that correct pressures are present and within parameters.

I ended up reflashing a different companies(more reliable) tune and so far no issues. I am still stuck with the Incorrect Gear Ratio DTC's on gears 2, 3 and 4 however.
