Archived 1500 / 2500 front driveshaft compatibility

I dont have both trucks to have a look at, But, do you know if the front driveshaft of a year 2000, 1500 4x4 dodge ram is the same as a 2002 2500 front driveshaft???

Can't say for sure, but I doubt it. The 2500 has heavier parts. The diesels in particular would have heavier parts to handle the torque. .

It might be worth stopping at a dealership on a Sunday to crawl under a truck and look but I'd but $$ that it's much smaller. The rears are smaller.
