My 2012 2500 stock truck just hit 150,000 miles. Per manual, the valve lash adjustment/inspection is due. Reading the TDR forum, seems like the truck is probably within spec. I can do some mechanical work but opening up the engine is a little more than I feel comfortable taking on. Sound like I need to specify to have the valve lash adjusted to factory spec and not just checked if it's in tolerance. I also have what looks to be an oil leak at the back of the rocker cover gasket. So, it seems like a good time to address both issues. I wanted to get the communities input on any other items I should consider addressing at 150K. I don't drive the truck all that much at home, maybe 8k yearly, but when I do, it's usually with the RV and family in tow and far from home. I've had the not so fun experience of having mechanical trouble on the road early on in 2020 when we bought the truck. Please chime if there are other items I should be servicing or looking to replace. I plan to keep the truck street legal and probably another 5yrs before evening considering a replacement. Earlier this year getting ready for a month road trip, I performed the followings service: 67k emissions cleaning service, coolant flush with new hoses and t-stat, new water pump, new pullies and serpentine belt, new alternator, front & rear diff oil change, transfer case and trans oil change. In 2020 I had the ERG valve and DPF filter replaced (cracked dpf). Yes, it's been an expensive vehicle to maintain, but it's also been fun to drive and hoping it'll get me to 200k trouble free.

Sounds like you've got the major stuff taken care of. The oil leak on back of valve cover could be loose valve cover bolts. Would be worth replacing when having the valves done. I had checked mine not that long ago and well within spec. Others chimed in and said not to bother at the 150K interval. Your truck, your call. I'm with you on the fun to drive part! Love to get out and up to highway speeds for long periods of time. They just handle so well and very comfortable to my beat up back!
