16" wheels

my buddy is selling me his 16" rims and tires.

Will it hurt anything if I have to use my 17" stock spare in case I ever get a flat.

I mean running for a day with 2 different size tires and rims ?

Before you buy them, are you sure they will fit over the brakes on your truck? I am pretty sure the wheel size went up to clear the new larger brakes, not just for cosmetics. Even if they do clear, it will be with a smaller airspace around the calipers especially. This will no doubt hurt the cooling ability.

16" wheels won't fit, I tried to put 16. 5s on and that wouldn't clear the brake calipers. They got to be 17 or bigger.

I never even thought of the brake size issue.

Now my wife will be even happier that I am not spending more money. Oo.
