I had these mods installed yesterday at Ponci's Diesel Center and all I can say is I am all :D . This truck is like new again.

This is how it all went.

First we did the 181 dv's with the #10 fuel plate all the way forward. This helped a lot down low. It was quicker off the line, but not a huge increase on top. From a standing start and a little brake I could get a one legged through part of first gear.

Second we put in 300 marine injectors still with the #10 plate all the way forward. This was a big increase in the SOP meter. Smoked off the line if you planted your right foot to the carpet, but it cleared up very fast once the turbo got spooled up. From a standing started, again with a little brake, I got a one legged burn out all the way through first and a quick chirp out of second :D . The 10 plate seemed to defuel a bit on top so we went back to the shop.

Brad dug around in a box of plates and said here's one that won't defuel on top. I asked what number is it? Brad just smiled and said it was a custom plate. So we dropped the new plate in and placed it about 3/4 forward.

I told Brad to go ahead and drive. He said you may not like my driving. I said I knew a great mechanic. Off we went to the freeway on ramp.

First let me say sorry to the lady in the mini van who waited behind us as Brad spooled up the turbo. As before the truck layed down a nice one legged two tire (Dual EE) burn out with lots of smoke and rubber. It's what happen after that that made us say WOW.

The truck smoked the tires through first, second and THIRD Oo. We entered the freeway doing about 70 and continued up to 85 or so. Egt's were about 1450 degrees. So Brad pulled over and gave me a shot. Again the truck smoked the tires through all three gears and easily blew past 100 mph.

Smoke is very minimal after turbo spool up. Accelerating from 65 to 85 the tail pipe only blows out a haze.

I must say I am extremely please with the results. I was going to go to 215 injectors but they did not work out at the last minute so I went to the 300's. Boy am I glad because these 300's are awesome. I almost feel that this could complete my mods, but we all know that will be short lived. :-laf

January 15th I will be attending a dyno event in Rohnert Park to see where my new hp rating will be.

Anybody want to take a guess were I will be now?

It is a fun setup. The 10 plate does defuel a bit, I ground a 100 plate out of my stocker yesterday just got to find time to put in. Then its turbo time :D

Sound like it runs good. Brad was sure impressed. I sure wish I had an automatic every once in awhile. Ok i'll admit it maybe all of the time. I try not to spin my tires very often, but sometimes you cant help it. :D :D

Ok for hp/tq I really dont have a clue so I will throw this out 340/780.

Another thing to consider is a RPM spring kit. The '94-'95's defuel real early compared to later years. It was one of the best mods I made.

Got them. I agree they made a nice difference.

How much money did you have to burn?

Everything I got was used. Paid 1/2 the price of new.

Dual EE,

Just sent you a PM also. Since I am at 382hp with my setup, I would venture around 320 or so for your setup. When you need more power don't be afraid to jump to the 370's :D . I really need a turbo  .

So what did you do with the #10 plate?

So what did you do with the #10 plate?[/QUOTE]

I traded it in on the custom fuel plate. I found that the #10 defueled too much for me on the top end. The new plate pulls hard all the way through.

I highly recommend this trio.

Today I went on my first road trip (empty). It was about 200 miles round trip. One grade is about 4-5 miles long and at about a 6% grade. I was able to pull the hill at 75 to 80 mph with the egt's at about 850*. This is with very light throttle pressure. Prior I was running about 1/2 throttle and about 1000*. One of the nice improvements has been the throttle response. It takes very little throttle pressure to make the truck move. Not much more then the weight of your foot. Fuel milage was about the same or better. Used about 1/3 of a tank.

Let us know what your results are. My new fuel plate was like adding icing on a cake.

It really completed the the modifications.
