I have a 160hp pump with the tst #6.
If i was to slide it forward, how much should i slide it? Is this going to hurt anything. Is there still hp left in the pump?
thanks
Adam

Go for the slide. I've got mine all the way forward on both our rigs with no problemo. After I finish my transmission mods I will probably go with some 215 injectors to ease off some of the back pressure on the pump. With the number 6 slid all the way forward I dyno'd 266. 9 at May Madness #ad

Mine has the stock plate but same year truck. I slid mine around today. It looks like you can slide it all the way forward or all the way back without hurting anything. It changes your fuel/air mix and the farther forward the more fuel she gets. If you go too far, you may find it smoking more than you like.

Guys,
I have always left eh AFC housing in it's stock position which is nearly all the way back. What effect does sliding the housing have? Seems like moving plate and housing together might counteract each other???

With my #4 plate in the stock position I could only use full throttle for v
ery short bursts. With the plate moved back . 040 the egt's are pretty easy to deal with.

For a wimpy 160 pump my truck has "enough" power-wow! never thought I'd say that! With camper etc. it weighs close to 10k and will still go over the grapevine on I-5 at 85. (Just an experment you understand).

About the only engine mods I'm still planning are an ATS manifold and I would like to try a 16cm housing, but the 12 sure works well with the combo I'm running.

Bill, you always want to slide the housing as far forward as you can, regardless of where you position the plate. It doesn't counteract the plate slide, although I can see why you would think that. Don't really know why it doesn't, but it doesn't.

Cooker,

This is what Ted J says in his cam plate instructions about sliding the AFC housing foward.

"Sliding the AFC housing all the way forward minimizes the fuel holdback from the AFC link at low boost and also allows the governor rocker greater rack travel and more fuel delivery. "

The above was written assuming your new high performance torque plate in the same position as the stock one was, like the directions say to install it, so back to square one. #ad
