I have a chance to get new 17 " factory alloys w/ Michelins for my truck at a great price. Tried them on the truck fit the back but, on front inside of wheel was at least an inch to far inset. Wheel would not fully seat. What are my options, the only one tire man suggested was to buy custom wheels $500 to fit the truck and tire .
Any reason why I would not want to run 17 " tires on my 91 ? TIA- R C
another option is wheel spacers to get the offset back out to where it needs to be. there are companies that can custom make them. check on e-bay, you may find a link to some.
I put 1" spacers on mine. Should have done 1. 5"'s. I have 2003 steel 17's on a 93 D250. Also you will need 9/16 studs in the spacer/ adapter to run the center caps. They clip on the edge of the lug nuts.
