175 hp. What size injectors?

On the engine tag it shows I am rated at 175 horse. Does anyone know size of the injector. Would they be a 215 injector or smaller injector?

I would think that if your engine is rated at 175 hp then you would have 175 injectors. I could be wrong here but this is how I understand it.

Jeff, I believe the 5 speed didn't get 215 injectors until 1996 when it went to 215 HP. I am reasonably sure you have 175 injectors since Cummins always matches the injectors to the HP rating when they are manufactured.

Does Cummins/Bosch really 'name' their injectors? I would think they just give them part numbers. Its us who tend to call them by the engine rating they came from. 215 Injectors are the injectors that came from a 215 HP motor. Because its easier that telling someone that you have the A204935-AB injectors ( made that up ).



I have no clue about flow rates, etc. But there is probably some bosch engineer somewhere who refers to these as the 20cc injectors, or the 40cc injectors, or some kind of thing like that.
