Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 175 Pump Max HP??

Right now I'm sitting at around 270 hp. I have a stock plate slid forward. Timing at 19 btc. 370 injectors. 3k gov springs. If I had a 0 plate what would my estimated hp be?

I have delivery valves but not installed. I'm thinking about getting a 14 sqm turbo housing to breath a little better.

Remember Its just a 175 hp pump. Just wanna know what it will max out at.

Maybe 500 hp or so, unless its been converted to a radically modified "stupid" pump like PDR sells.



I think Joe D posted once dynoing a 175hp 5spd at about 400hp w/#4, 370's and a 16cm2 housing and likely other tweaks he may/ may not have mentioned!

For comparison you can see what I have. With the #10 I dyno'd 404 and 899 a month ago. I dropped a #0 in and haven't dyno'd, but it is a hot for JR's little schwitzer that I have in now. With a bigger turbo and this plate, I think I would be real close to 500. I might be mistaken but I think it is possible. I also think that is as far as I can go without major pump work like mentioned above and bigger turbos or twins.

That truck later got 450 with an HX40, my 0 plate, 370s, 4K gov, afc work, and timing I tweaked somewhat. Stock delivery valves.

Care to elaborate on "AFC work, and timing I tweaked", or is that one of your trade secrets?
