I have been looking at all of the post on here for about 2 hours now about wheels and I am still confused. I am wanting to get a new set of wheels and tires. I have 4:10 gears and most of my driving is on the highway and the most I pull is a lightweight Bullet Bassboat. I can't make up my mind on either a Eagle 102, 17x9, -8mm offset, 4 5/8 backspace with a 315-70-17 BFG AT. Or something in a 16. I am not wanting the tires to hang out alot. I will be installing a 2inch leveling kit also. What other rim choices are out there. I don't want no problems with rubbing under normal street use either. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Dion

i went with eagle 589 17x8 rims and bfg m/t 275/70/17 it is a very nice looking combo. if interested i can get pics, i know you wanted bigger, but i like to look of these...

I have the 102's you seek on my 2001. 5.

However the info I have on the 102's is as follows:

17X9's w/ a 2mm offset and a 5" Backspacing. (Reference here)

I have them wrapped with 315/70 R17's BFG A/T's.

The Website for the company (AE wheels .com ) states one thing and the Dealer I purchased my wheels from says another. Someone is incorrect???

I will tell you that I ordered my wheels in May of 03' and this is how they fit on my truck.

They do stick out on my truck a little bit, enough that I added Fender flares to help cover them. However your truck comes with a 4. 5 inch Backspace (I believe). My truck came with a 6. 25 Backspacing. Because of that the 5" Backspacing may cause rubbing problems on your control arms or may not fit over the Brakes. (I'm not sure:confused: )

Call American Eagle See what the scoop is. When I bought my wheels they matched the specs I listed above between both the MFG. and dealer websites. The company MAY have changed the specs but that is not likely IMHO.

Or Someone inputing the specs put in the wrong ones. Thats happened before... .

Good luck! :)

Kevin
