On the overhead display.

This gave me a little bit of hope. After getting anywhere from 9 to 11 hand calculated with 95%/5% city/towing, I averaged 18. 7 on the overhead today. 60 mile trip with 800 lbs of 4 wheeler and ice fishing gear in the bed and 4 people in the cab going 65 mph with no wind. My overhead has been . 5 to 1 mpg higher then hand calculated to this point(just under 1k on the clock). I will not be able to confirm this as I had 200 miles of city driving on this tank prior to this trip. This was only 60 miles, so it doesn't mean much. But like I said, it gave me a little bit of hope that this truck can come close to my old 2002 in the MPG department.

I drove 140 miles yesterday, mostly highway at 65mph. Filled to the top before I left, filled to the top when I got back. The overhead read 18. 5, hand calculated it was 17. 8. 2008 4x4 longbed SRW, 7500 miles, empty.

Calculating actual fuel burned divided by miles driven is the only real measure - the overhead is just not accurate.

Hey, atleast it's close. My '98's didn't have any MPG "computer" I had to experiment, and experiment to find the best mileage. Turns out it's about 64MPH, but jeez, it took like 2 months to do that.

You can add 1 MPG to the overhead, and atleast get a ballpark figure.

However, hand calculating, is the most reasonably accurate way to get your MPG. However, you can't get short distance MPG like that like you can guesstimate with the overhead.

My overhead was reading 22-23 and hand calulated I was getting a max of 17. 1. The AX flash seems to make the overhead more reasonable showing around 18 now.
