Any know if 18" Laramie Wheels from a new 3500 SRW will fit on a 2005 3500 SRW? Bolt circle seems to be the same but I can't find any info on the backspacing and how it compares to the stock 17" wheels I have on the truck.

From my research the are going to fit the same. The only issue is if you have converted to manual locking hubs.

What would be the issue with the free sin hub kits…hub diameter??

Yes, they changed the size/style of the centercap. To use the new 18's you would have to have them machined to fit. That means either no tire rotations or no centercaps on the rear axle.

The website I found the backspacing from isn't working right now. I put 2014 18" laramie wheels with stock tires on my 2011, IIRC positive offset is 1/2" or less compared to my stock 2011 laramie wheels. The tires tuck in a bit more, upper control arm tire rub on the passenger side when slightly articulated at full right turn lock.

Yes,They will fit with no issues.
Depending on what year you get the wheels from you may not be able to use the lugnuts as the newer trucks have gone to a metric wheel stud.
I have had the 20's off My Wife's 2015 BlackOut Edition on My daily driver over the winter months with no issues except for buying a set of good McGuard lugs for them.

Just purchased a set of 18" wheels from a 2014 2500. They fit just fine on my 2003 SRW with Yukon free spin kit installed. Had to use my existing lug nuts and caps (the 2014 are metric). No machining here. Installed Lt 275/70 R 18 in General A2 tires. They look good and nice to have traction again! The old tire was a LT 285/70R/17 Cooper A3.

Yes the steel wheels will fit, but the aluminum ones won’t.

They look good on there!

My dad picked up a set of steel 18's to run on his 06 with Yukon hubs. He wants a snow tire to go ski camping this winter and 17's suck in the weight rating department.

Thanks John! The one big reason I upgraded was the tire weight rating the 285/17" at 3195# and the 275/18" 3640#, thats a 445 #increase per tire! Just a little of added insurance! The only thing I would like to find is the proper Lug nuts that are wider at the end of the Lug so that I can use the 14' center caps. There is a small gap around where the old (03') center cap mounts to the wheel(maybe 1/8"). No big deal to me it's a work truck!, and a couple more snow runs and the polished wheel will be dull just like the center cap! - Thanks to Jersey road salt!!!! Also, the 275/18" tires where priced at $201.00 per tire and the 285/17" at $ 219.00 per tire a $18.00 savings per tire and added load capacity!!!Have your dad look at the General Grabber AT2, deep lugs and have a snow flake rating.
Frank
