180 degree thermostat on '04

Just wondering if any of you have installed a 180 degree thermostat from a '99 or earlier truck in the '03-'04 (305-555) trucks.



What are the results? I know it probably isn't advisable but I wanted to get a little feedback.

Haven't done it and I was told why... . The 03 and up trucks HAD to be hotter to burn all the fuel completely... Has to do with the 3rd injection event on the latest trucks... My 04. 5, 06, and 07 have all run on the 200 mark empty and can sometimes get to 210 pulling... Winter driving 190. I did add some of the royal purple " Purple Ice" great stuff if you want to help your cooling system out a bit!

i'd like a hotter t-stat. . 195°-200° please...
