Hey guys I was wondering all you that have run the Michelin XDE 2+ Tires and say they are way too loud were you running them all around or were you running a drive steer setup? Also what type of wheel balancing were you using?

I would understand that if they would be really loud in the front as they are drive tires. My friend is running a similar tire on their 550 in the rear only and you can't even hear them.

Please give me your experiences.

Thanks

Steve

Ive got them on my truck all the way around. Balanced the outers in the rear and the fronts with Innovative Balance Beads, the inside rears were balanced in the standard lead weight fashion. The tires do have some noise to them at speeds of 65+mph, but nothing crazy. I do have a straight 5" exhaust so the exhaust noise drowns out some of the tire noise, or vice versa. Either way, at 70mph, turning 2100 RPM, it is very easy to carry on a conversation in the cab with front or back seat passengers.

And for what its worth, the cab of my truck seems much louder than some of the Dodge/Cummins trucks I have been in.
