19.5 rims/ tires

Yes, I have more stupid questions... ... .



I read in Bill Swails column that Alcoa is coming out with new 19. 5 rims for the 3500 SRW's, anybody have 'em yet, and if so how do you like 'em? Do any of you guys have pics of your 2003 HD truck with the 19. 5" rims... . I have to show the wife pictures ,you know.



But God Bless her, she had to con me into buying a new truck, and now she wants bigger tires to fill in those wheel wells, what a wonderful woman!!!!!!!!! Of course she works at the Dodge dealer, so i feel obligated to oblige her .

Why can't they put on 19. 5's as a factory option to fill those still GIGANTIC wells???

I heard alot of talk about those rims basically being on hold right now, don't know for how long. That was the deal about a month ago maybe things change now, hopefully someone who knows more will post.

Talked to Matt at Rickson and am leaning towards this setup:



Wheels - 1196-2108-EC-C 19. 5 x 6. 75" chrome steel



Tires HDR-245 Continental HDR 2245/70R19. 5 Load Range G



Computerized OEM Match Mounting, Precision Dynamic Spin Balancing, and Unique Equal additive with filtered valve core



Speed Sensor Calibrator - 98 up Dodge 4WH ABS



He mentioned that they have aluminum protoypes in the works also, but I think the chrome jobs look pretty cool too

Boathead, what's the price per wheel delivered and what is the weight and price difference to the aluminum?

Here's the exact quote I got from Matt at Rickson, as for the weight per wheel, I have no idea, just that on my old truck the difference between the aluminum and steel was quite noticeable(and they were only 16")
