Looking to see what other experiences are with 19.5 tires as I am finally replacing mine. Would like to know cost and how many miles you got out of them.

I bought Khumo KRD02's with my Rickson wheels back on 2004. I just switched the tires and wheels from my 01.5 to my 2015. They cost $325 back then and thats about what they cost today. They still have good tread but the sidewalls are finally starting to crack on a few. They have been on the truck for 15 years! I would say that the $325 each has been a terrific value.
I hate putting that much per tire up front again but again the value over all is hard to beat. I see quite a few 19.5's that are in the $195-$220 range, just wondering if you all have good experience with the tires in this range or if I should bite the bullet and stick with the Khumos.
I realize there are threads covering 19.5s but technology changes and tire durability changes, want to hear some recent experiences. I'm sure the Khumos have gotten even better over 15 years. Thank you for your input.

I like the 19.5s. Of course they came on my 09 4500 C&C; only thing I didn't care for the Good Years were speed rated 76mph. Had one throw rubber at approx 50K miles, so replaced them with Continental HSR. Interesting, Ram dealer had best price installed.

Traded it for new 2017 Ram 5500 C&C with the Continentals. I like the increased load capacity and stronger sidewalls. Cheers, Ron

I'm running them on my SRW and really like the performance of them, but the mileage isn't going to be stellar.

I have Toyo M608Z's, which have done decent for traction but I think the minimum psi of 70, stiff sidewall, and stiff tread negates a lot of the tread design.

I'll be lucky to get 40K miles out of a 5 tire rotation, but a lot of my miles are towing on dirt roads at 18-21K GCW.

I'll most likely stick with 19.5's as my summer tire (unless my toy setup drastically changes) and next time will get a closed shoulder tire to help with tire life. I don't run them in the winter, and even the few times I've had them in snow they suck already.
