Exhaust Brake Comparison Test....

Trailer bearings

I now have nearly 9000 miles on my Goodyear G647s and they are running very true and do not need rotating. This is a great set of tires. I have heard many stories about new 19. 5s not running well for several thousand miles and would not run very well on the highway due to getting in tire grooves in the pavement. I have not experienced this. I think it is due to installing these tires on wheels that are too narrow for the tire. My wheels are 6. 75"s wide and run the 245s very flat. I had been running all the tires at 70psi but I pumped up the front tires to 90psi several weeks ago and they are still running fine. :-laf

Which wheels are you running?

Got any pics from the side? I'm going to convert my truck to a dually and run the 19. 5's. I haven't started the tire search yet, but thanks for the info. I'll make a note of it.

MKW Alloy wheels.

This is the only wheel on the market that allows you to run both rear rims as aluminum.

That's a good looking truck. Are the mounting surfaces of the wheels thinner than other aluminum wheels? Why are they the only ones that allow both rears to be aluminum?

Very nice truck.

Two questions:

Where did you buy the wheels?

Front trailer hitch, what brand and where did buy it?

TIA, Ray

The wheels are thick. They take a special lugnut that goes up inside of the wheel.

Discount Tire sells the wheels.

Front hitch is Reese.
