Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 1978 gmc 6000

I am installing an (I think a 1998 5. 9 eng # 56226233) into a 1978 gmc 6000 with a clark 5 speed ,an a dana split rear,looks like it's going to be an easy dropin. I am looking for a book on that engin, any help would appreciated.

Head to your local Cummins dealer and pick up a repair manual for the B-series. It's got everything including stuff you don't want to know . Cool project. I've got a 83 C60 with the 8. 2 turbo that was converted to a Crew Cab and I'm looking foward to converting to a 8. 3 C-series and a 9 spd.
