1982 W350 Frame vs 1992 cummins frame.

I have a 1982 W350 truck I want to put a 4" lift kit on it after I swap in a 12 valve I have. "Jackie" has a w350 4" lift kit for the cummins 89 -93. Will this kit fit my 1982 W350. All the body parts are the same as far as the fenders , hood , bed. If anyone knows I would greatly appreciate it.

Mysteryman had a post on frame comparisons and I recall something about front spring hangars using larger bolts around the '91.5-'92 model year. I think the bdy parts are irrelevant and what you need to compare is spring hangar and hardware dimensions, length between them, and maybe frame dimensions at the hangars.

As far as the kit for an ‘89-‘93 fitting an ‘82, I’d suggest you call the manufacturer.

Engine crossmember is different from 89 up for the Cummins mounts. IIRC the radiator header/mounting panel is different also.

81-93 body parts are pretty much the same thing. the lift should fit . the main thing you will run into is the front bolt on the spring will be 5/8 and gas truck will be 1/2 so you will have to drill out the front Mount for the spring .

Thanks Brother. Don't even know where to begin.2020 Sucked really Bad for my family and my health. First off we are looking at moving to Tennessee and myself and my wife took a trip in May and went n looked around for a week beautiful area got back home had a doctor's appointment a couple days later and I got hit with I have a major infection in my leg and Doctor tells me . It's my leg or my life.I kinda choked on that one but said as long as it's not tomorrow ok.well lost my leg in June woke up and felt like a million bucks the next day. Got home at end of week and found out I went through a weight loss went in at 330 woke up and I was 280. Was recovering and then they realize that I still had infection so August it was back in.for more surgery. Back home and my Son comes to me and says he wants to buy a new car.he is looking for a scat pak challenger.ok Kool we found the car in Idaho.take him and a buddy to Vegas and they fly up there and they drive it home.heres the Bad part.11 days later he was involved in a car accident at 5:30 am an unfortunately was Killed.That day is burned into my head.I will Never forget that day or the Memories of my Son.
For those of you who have young kids or older for that matter.Hug them because Tomorrow is never Promised.
So living every day to the fullest and taking it 1 day at a time.

Thank you Scott.I can deal with the Leg because I fought it for real close to 15 yrs . It's my Son that hurt the most. Your not supposed to bury your kids. The loss of my Son is the reason I won't Quit. I am still working on truck's just a little slower pace.
