Does not run - OK so it may crank and run – but not reliably to get you home - so definitely plan on having a car trailer if you purchase.

Car comes with a spare replacement transmission, a spare used replacement fuel tank, and several boxes of new and used OEM and aftermarket parts. Previous owner used this car for years as his daily driver until the transmission went bad. He bought a replacement transmission but he never installed it. I bought this from him with the intention of restoring it but other projects kept getting in the way. I hate to let it go but the car has been sitting in a covered carport for the past four years and regrettably, I cannot get to this project.
NOTES ON THIS CAR (in no particular order - but here’s the reality of this project car)
- Paint is faded and chalky.
- Rust - there is light rust in some areas. One location where rust goes through is on the passenger-side fender (there is a photo below of this spot).
- Engine is not the original, but I have no information as to when it was replaced. Will crank and run, however the fuel tank needs replacing (spare fuel tank included with car). Fuel lines need replacing from tank to fuel pump.
- Transmission is shot and pukes fluid. Car comes with a replacement transmission, which, per the previous owner, was taken from a wrecked Mercedes diesel that had a rebuilt transmission.
- A/C does NOT work - unsure of the heat.
- Air suspension was rebuilt and seems to work fine.
- 1 Axle shaft needs replacing - a new one is included with this sale.
- Tires are in great condition but probably need replacing due to age.
- Instrument cluster needs replacing - a spare is included.
- New hood liner is included (not installed).
- OE fan clutch and fan were replaced with an electric fan conversion.
- Crank case breather conversion was installed by previous owner (I don’t know anything about this - it's beyond my expertise).
- Rear deck lid gas springs needs replacing.
- One hood spring is broken.
- New grill and new headlight surrounds.
- Water leaks into the car - do not know where the leak originates. The previous owner said it was the windshield. New windshield seal is included – but not yet replaced. Window seals in general need replacing. The car has been under a covered storage building for several years but it was on our driveway for a couple of months prior to storage and it did get water inside several times.
- Side note on the photos: the license plates are such that the back plate is a Georgia license plate – but the front plate was on there Just For Fun – for those who remember the show Dallas, the Ewing family members had vanity tags numbered with their last names. The main character’s wife drove a Mercedes wagon very similar to this one.
