I ran a PDR HX35, ported 18cm, stock injectors, and a pump flowing ~125mm/ stroke- 50% or so over stock. I only needed an intercooler a few times (got into EGT issues) and would peg a 40psi gauge. My advice is, watch your EGTs, and if you consistently get too hot for the situtaion, then yes, you need it. If you stay under 1300 or so all day long, you may not see much benefit.

Though bgilbert says he gained all kinds of bottom end torque when he went intercooeld on his 89... ... That may come in handy off-roading.

My 90 scooted along just fine without one and it was fast enough to surprise those pesky 6. 0's. I did have to watch the EGT gauge but I was running an all stock turbo.

cool thanks does anyone know if you can run a snokle on a a cummins or a good way of getting the air intake up a bit over the hood just trying to keep stuff safe
