Anyone else notice that the 1990 engine requires 13 quarts to "Full" and the 92 is 12qt to "Full"?

Yet both are advertised as 12 qt capacity... ... ... ... ... .....

I have had both trucks for many years now and know this is not a fluke.

Oil full...

My truck (see below signature) has always needed just about 13-quarts with a Fleetguard 3552 filter. Its uses/vaporizes  including "the spot when parked" from engine vent tube just about . 25-of a quart in 4000-miles. An old pizza pan keeps the driveway clean:-laf

Patrick. :D

I check mine in the same spot (inside the shop floor) and I know one is requiring more oil than the other.

Hummm... ... ..... I always use the same filter too. That couldn't be it.

I just changed the oil in the 90 a few weeks ago and am now getting around to checking the level inside the shop. This one always shows the same thing right after an oil change... ... ... ... ..... One quart low.

My 98 never took more than 11 to read full. Yet my 04 takes 12 every time. I dont remember how much the 93 takes, but I recall it being more than the 98.
