I've had a 1990 W350 for about a year now slowly getting it road worthy from its retirement behind a barn and I've had an electrical problem since I got it. It seemed at random I could loose all ignition power and only have power to things like the door buzzer. It can take everything out at random, I've started the truck and while it was warming up it has lost electrical and shut down. It hasn't been a major issue for a while but now I've been replacing battery cables and have it narrowed down to a cluster of wires that if I wiggle I will cause the power to go off and on. Its coming from the small battery cable from the positive terminal. This cable feeds into a triangular shaped rubber piece that has about 6 other wires going into. Its located on the driver's side inner fender by the solenoids. I'll try and post a picture. I was wondering if I could cut it out and just hook all the wires together because I believe it is a loose connection in there that is causing my problems. Has anyone else dealt with this or knows what I should do? I'd really like to start using this truck more and don't want to stall out on the road. Any help would be appreciated I'm new around here!
