I have a chance to buy a 1992 dodge 5. 9 cummins that has around 100,000 miles. 4-wheel drive extended cab long box with a flat bed. The truck has been getting oil in the radiator and he has replaced the rear diff. 3 times since he has had it. I know the truck has been well cared for and mantained. It would be helpful to hear some prices and hear what you think it is worth.

Well Oil in Rad mean's the oil cooler is Bad as for price if Possible post a picture and we can help out more . And Welcome

At this moment i do not have any pictures to post. the truck like i said is in good condition no dents and all paint is still on. The guy is the original owner. When they checked the rad in the overflow tank ther was a inch or more of gunk.

So you have a truck with a bad oil cooler - this is repairable - but replacing a rear diff 3 times does not fit with a well maintained truck. I would question just how well this truck has been maintained.

If the truck is an auto, will it have an engine mounted transmission oil cooler that could put oil in the radiator or even water in the transmission? Three rear axles is very unusual.

I have a 93 D350 with a limited slip Dana 70 the truck has 205K on it and I carry heavy loads with it a lot and it has never had rear end fail the only thing i have ever done is change the rear gears from 4. 10 to 3. 54 .
