1993 Dodge 350 Cummins Diesel

I have a bad computer and have not been able to obtain a replacement or have it rebuilt. I by passed the computer and now shift to overdrive with a toggle switch. Is the speedometer electric or cable since it quit working. Bluheeler1

Speedometer is driven off the VSS on the transmission or t-case. The OD likely quit when the speedo quit working. Check the VSS and the VSS drive as they can both be problematic along with the harness. The VSS will be where the old speedo cable used to connect to the trans\t-case.

Snag a computer out of a gas pick up or mini van or full size van it will work fine
