Yep, fortunately warming fluid isn't that much of an issue here in N. GA. And I don't drive ti in freezing weather anyway. But cooling when running a 30K GCW is a big issue.It does serve a purpose, more warming cold fluid than cooling hot fluid I think. You should be fine with it bypassed. The ones on the 2nd Gens are pretty much bulletproof unless you live in the north and they rust out. The ones on the 3rd Gens were VERY problematic.
Well, yes, but then that heat goes to the radiator and back to air. Which affects engine cooling anyway.Fluid to Water heat exchanger are very powerful in either direction, much more efficient then Air to Fluid radiators.
You might be surprised. It's marginal with the loads I tow in the hills around here.Radiator is way oversized, it can take that amount easily and get rid of it.
