We get abput $1,000. 00 for a used bus w/diesel engine that is driveable. I have a 1989 Bluebird with 5. 9 and the transmission is junk. Probably due to altering the OEM base HP of the 5. 9  :D

The bus is probably worth 500. 00

A driveable bus in fair shape still isn't worth anything. They have a very limited appeal to someone other than a scrap yard. $3,500. 00? It would have to be very low miles with a very nice body.

I also have a 1988 Bluebird w/a busted transmission and a Ford Diesel engine. The guy who is getting this one is doing us a favor by not CHARGING us to have it towed away. The last one we had towed off the lot, COST us $$$

Thats whats great about the internet, everyone has their own opinion. I've got someone right now thats interested in the whole bus just for the MT643. The cummins 5. 9 and MT643 is an excellent combo and a gift at $2,500 IMO.

The biggest detractor on this bus is the rusty rear.

Your transmission in your Bluebird most likely isn't a 643, it was like a $2,000 option.

Some friends of mine were picking them up here in KS with between 75and 100K for $1500. They bought 4 of them and wouldnt sell me one!!

Sometimes its timing sometimes luck. I was very lucky when I got these buses. The guy who contacted me today just ended the auction on my 1993 (not the one pictured above) for $2,500 and gave me the required $500 deposit. Yeeaahhh!
