Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 1997 Dodge cummins 2500 12 valve shuts off when turning the steering wheel

When ever I turn the steering wheel all the way the truck shuts off. Also when I put it in reverse the Idle goes down low and shuts off. I can never press the diesel pedal to hard or it would Also shut off. Please give me suggestions thank you

Sounds like the idle speed is too low,The adjusment bolt is at the rear of the injection pump-a little tricky to find.Watch the linkage as you open and close it,you should be able to find it.2 10 mm wrenches and you;re good to go

Normal Idle should be 750. with a manual trans with the AC on it should be set at 775-800. Not sure about the auto trans but might be close.
