1997 International Wrecker

I have a friend that owns a 1997 International roll back wrecker that he uses at his salvage. It has a Powerstroke and he wants to know if there is anything that he can do to get more power. Being a Cummins guy I dont know much about Powerstrokes. Would a programmer for a Ford work on this or not? What performance parts are available for this truck? Any info would be appreciated.
