I just bought a Larry B's fuel line and return replacement hose/clamp kit for my 1998 12 valve engine.
It's a piece of 3/8" and 5/16" tubings of the right length. Where I unclamped the hoses from the engine end with the clips I have a possible problem. I removed the plastic clips from the fuel lines but it only leaves about an inch of smooth tubing to clamp to. Is this all I use or do I need to get a tubing cutter and remove the part of the metal fuel line with the clip ridge. I can't get the tubing over these ridges. I have a long trip scheduled tomorrow and need help and advice.
I need it right before the drive. Thanks, Herb
