Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 1998 12 valve Redline?

Hey my buddy has a 1998 12 valve that had an automatic on it now the engine is in a 1994 ford F350. With the nv4500. He was wondering what the redline for that year truck was. In the ford he has 4:10 gears in it and all he can do is about 80mph. does that sound about right for that engine. Is 3000 rpm a good guess for the redline?

stock valvesprings are safe to ~3400ish... with stiffer springs you can go higher

Stock timing will fall offat 2600 or so and so will gs if thay are stock.

I have the same combo and with the stock 245 tires about 80 is all she would go at around 2900 rpm. The way I worked around it was by putting larger tires on the truck I also put a 3000 gov spring kit in it. The engine will now spin up to 3600 rpm before it defuels.
