hey guys, I need some opinions in the next day or so about this truck. I know book value is basically irrelevent. 98 standard cab 4x4 slt with 12v, auto, 3,54 lsd, black sport pkg. , one owner, perfect body and int. , 81k miles, no bombs at all, I forgot to check block casting but will do so wed. , linex, good tires and brakes, a little steering wander but Ive got an 03 track bar and Darrens kit sitting here in the floor for the truck in my sig. which Ill sell if I get this one. He's asking 15k but will move some. Thanks in advance, Ron.

Sounds like a pretty fair deal if your planning on keeping it awhile. I think 13k would be a good deal. Are you going to sell your truck?

If I buy the 98 Ill sell the 96 bit Im torn as the only thing I would be gaining is better interior and brakes. Ive had the 96 a long time and it is a known quantity but I really want the newer interior.

I could be wrong here, but I think a 98 with the sport pkg is a bit of a rarity.

I got the same truck, cetp it's a quad cab SLT, 5 speed (no sport pkg-fully optioned otherwise) and I'm keeping it for another 10 years at least. :D

Taht's a very fair price.

Eric

It looks like you're considering going from a club cab to a standard cab to get the new interior, is this right? Since you asked for opinions I'll offer one, keep the club cab. I have personally known five guys that went from club/extended cab trucks to regular cab trucks for one reason or another and were all unhappy when it was all said and done.

I hope whatever you do works out well for you in the long run,

Mike
