I am curious if anyone knows the number of 1998-1998. 5 Dodge 12V's that were built before the 24V's were introduced. I realize they are not that common.

How about 96 and 97?

They don't break down 12 and 24 valve where my info came from.

They also said Dodge only expected to sell 8,000 in '89 with an increase of 3,000 per year.

What i think is interesting about those #'s is that more 93's where sold than 94's, then again a club cab wasn't offered until '95. I for some reason thought 96 and 97 where the best years, seemed like dodge always complained about low sales when recently sales have been the best. I guess they see all the new fords out there on the road and wonder why they are selling so well as i do.

Cowboy -

I was thinking the same thing and then I confused myself and I am sure someone will help straighten that out.

New body style was the '94 year model but that actually came out in '93 right? If so that may explain a surge for the new looking truck in sale year '93 and then a bit of a valley the following year.

I too would be interested in knowing how many of the 98's were 12 and how many were 24...

Hey Bill,

Where did you find those figures? They are helpful, but kinda goofy. The 2000 model year only lasted a short 4 months of production, and by their figures, Dodge somehow made 116k diesel Rams!

The 94 model was available on dealers' lots in late 93. I think the higher sales of the 93 was because of the Club Cab option as well as a few people wanting that body style (old habits die hard). I purchased a W350 Club Cab new off the dealers' lot in March of 93. At the time, no more factory orders were being taken. Plus I needed a Club Cab and didn't want to wait two years to get one. I'd be curious to see how those numbers stack up as CC vs reg cab. That could be the reason for slower 4 #'s too.
