Hi guys, I want to put a newer style interior in my 1997 CTD I had a 1998 club cab 1500 prior to this truck and my dad has a 1998 club cab 12 valve, and I just loved the way the interior was set up on those trucks. Now I have most the door panels, pillar panels, seats, dash (Inc), and I need carpet, manual shifter console, headliner, and visors and the 1998 club cab rear panels. aside from everyone who is going to tell me this is a bad idea, can anyone tell me if most of my accessories under the dash will fit, such as E Brake, blower motor (I have the plumbing), and will most of the electrical connectors be the same as a 1998 12 valve? My dads motor is a 1997 with all the same connectors so I am guessing the motor wiring harness is the same. If anyone has any ideas, or something to suggest, let me know.

Thanks

Andrew Pyontek

Wiring harness and connectors are drastically different from the 1997-1998 yrs. as well as the pcms/ controls. The 12v 97 vs 1998 underhood may turn out to be the least of your worries. You sound like you have a 1998 1500 series wiring harness?

Other than making it a salvage title how bout putting a 1998 cab on your 1997 frame if you must have the updated interior. . with a diesel wiring harness from a 1998?

Good luck

Andy
