Had the ECM rebuilt. Ran for about two weeks and last night I realized again no lift pump coming on so its parked until I can get it fixed right. I discovered if I removed the plug from the power distribution box and plugged it back in the lift pump comes on for 1-2 seconds. If I bump the starter it try's or sometimes comes on for 15-20 like it's supposed to. Then the next time I turn the key on it won't come on. I've been reading a lot of threads about connections and corrosion. Anybody delt with this PDB? Also no wait to start light comes on. I would think if ECM was still bad it would not come on at all. Any suggestions cause I don't want to run it and destroy the injector pump. Thanks Donnie, at Dallas TX.

Thanks for the advice. I put a temporary relay on the lift pump for now because I was in a jam and needed it going ASAP. Lots of helpful info on this forum and I could kick myself for not getting on here years ago. I'm gonna take the ECM back to the rebuild shop next Monday.

I think but not sure that the PCM on the 1998.5 controls the "wait to start" light. It also controls the relays that power the grid heaters.

I take it you ran remote power from igntion switch to the relay for the lift pump by passing the ECM or did you run it from the PDC?

I take it every other component is getting power?
