Where do I find Tractor specs

98 Hi lo 28ft ( widebody ? ) looks good on the outside but I have not been inside or got any more details - owner says used very little.

Asking 17K but negotiable. Anybody have any opinions as to quality or what to look for. Is price reasonable? Thanks for any input.

I'm looking for something to pull to Alaska next summer.

Seems like 17K is high for a 98.

Dont know much about the hi-low's. They look well built.

Sorry I couldnt be more help.

The Hi-Los are well built trailers. The older ones like the '98 had a steel upper and lower cage - very sturdy. They pull real well since they have a low center of gravity and low wind resistance, but they tend to be heavier than a travel trailer the same length. Most people that have Hi-Los really like them and they will come talk to you about them at campgrounds. I wish could have talked my wife into a bigger Hi-Lo instead of a 5th wheel.

FYI, the newer Hi-Los supposedly have an aluminium cage instead of steel. It's supposed to be lighter but still pretty strong.

I have owned two (2) HILOs. They are well built. There are a few sacrifices when going with this unit. Outside storage is small; The refrigirator is small and must run of 12V DC while traveling; Overhead cabinet space is small. When you stop for a significant period of time(rest stop), you must shut off the refrigirator. It will run down the battery faily quickly.

The unit tow great due to the lower profile. For bathroom stops, the trailer will have to be on fairly level ground.

The largest unit I had was 26 feet. Before letting the unit down, you must clear all the counters and do not leave a broom or such that could poke a hole in the roof. You also must remove suff leaning on the trailer prior to lowering.
