Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 1999 2500 needs help

hey guys here for another round of whats wrong with my truck driving truck and check engine light comes on, sometimes the engine revs up higher than normal for idle maybe 1500 rpm other times its normal idle. there is no throttle at the peddle. engine will not rev at all. ive tried code reader and no codes come up. i can take key out, let it set for a minute, starts up fine and there is throttle response at the peddle. no idea what the problem is here. anyone had a similar issue?

Could have a couple of issues (1) start by checkiing APPS (2) Then to the VP 44, but first of all ck fuel pressure and filter! BLUE CHIP has a great troubleshooting guide you can download on line!! Good luck!

hey tyvm for the response. the situation had not occurred for months so i thought it was "fixed" lol the VP 44 is new and fuel pressure is fine after installing pusher unit in fuel tank. fuel filter is changed regularly. ill look into the APPS thank you very much for the suggestion.

hey SnoKing tyvm ill definitely do that. trucks been babied its whole life; so not alot of rust etc. but cleaning grounds cant hurt. thanks again and gl after checking around this forum and others im looking in the direction of the APPS/TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) hope this helps others as well
