1999 4spd auto trans band adjustment

Transmission band adjustment on a 1999 Ram 2500 24V diesel, 4spd auto. I bought this truck new and after having it serviced, at the local Dodge dealer,for the first time, I asked if the bands were adjusted. I was informed that there was no adjustment on that year truck. I stopped by one of the local transmission shops and they said the same thing. I find this hard to believe since it seems applicable for other years. Fluids and filters have been changed religiously since new and I now have 120,000 miles on the truck. The transmission is now starting to slip at startup and takes longer to change gears. In checking with a Haynes manual, it doesnt list that year as requiring an adjustment. Anyone know for sure if there is an adjustment?

run from these people . I adjust the bands on my 98. 5 which has a 47re trans. same as yours. Go to search and type in band adjustment you should get lots of info.

Maybe what they should have told you is that we see very little problems with the bands in the 47re trans... ... ... .
