I wasn't aware that there were aluminum wheels offered as a factory option in '99. I can say that I tried to get some 2001 factory aluminum rims to fit on my '99 an it was a no-go. Not enough space. Because the factory drum brakes are rather large, you have to have the correct backspacing to make any 16in rim work (learned that the hard way). I think the rear disk brakes allow for more tolerance on rim selection.

Maybe they are aftermarket?

That could be I just spotted it in an auto trader, thought about checking it out, but have to look and don't really have time. My 01 has the dual piston front calipers and discs on the rear, so it may be a moot point. Thanks

SMikel - There's been a couple of sets of 1999 "ALLOY" wheels (one set with tires) down your way on Craigslist lately. I noticed from the pictures, that they look a little different than my 2001 stock aluminum wheels. I don't think they are the same, but not sure of the differences. They sure didn't look like the aluminum alloy ours are made of... ... something a little different I think. I think the 2000-2002 wheels were the same tho. The holes should all be correct, but the clearance/backspacing should be checked out. I would like to know myself incase I decide to get a set of winter tires/wheels someday. good luck.

Where? Spokane? the ones i saw were in Colorado, but I didn't have time to check them out, I could look at those but the others were a smokin deal 4 wheels and 'new' retreads for $50 ea!, should have made the time.
