That's the car business... the new car manager will load up the value of the trade in and then pass the problem off to the used car manager. The new car manager makes his sale and gets his paycheck while the used car manager tries to figure out how he can possibly turn a profit on something that was purchased for way too much.

Yes, 2nd gen trucks are getting bids of $20k+, but that's pretty rare. You've got to find the right buyer.

Your truck is pretty nice, and it may very well fetch over $20k.

I'd bet if you walked in there and threw down $44K cash you could buy that same truck. It's called "ACV", Actual Cash Value. They'll show on your paper work that they gave you $20K when they actually ACV it for $10K, then they'll sell it for $15K and turn a quick $5K. 50% profit.



Not trying to bust your bubble. Looks like a nice truck, but unles you find somebody with deep pockets that just has to have that truck, I don't think you'll get $15K.

A long time member has had a like new looking 12 valve dually but with lots of miles for sale for months at half your price. As for as I know he hasn't sold it yet.
