Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 53 Block?

Just a quick question. Did all 1999 models come with the number "53" block?

Silver, not all 99's had them. Look for the Number to be sure. Thanks Steve B.

silverram - I've looked everywhere and can't find a 53. It's supposed to be below the VP44 towards the front of the block just above the rail for the oil pan and 1-2" numbers and as I've been told "you can't miss them". So I figure either I'm missing them or it's not there?

I was paranoid and searched my truck just in case and was worried I couldn't find any numbers. I then saw a 53 block truck and it's true, you can't miss the numbers. I you can't find them, they're probably not there.
