Well, now that I have all three, I can tell you what I like about each of them:

1st Gen: Nastalgic looks, Rides like a truck (There are some places on paved road I'm bouncing like crazy), seats are like sitting on the living room couch, rustic controls, easiest shock change out I ever saw. Easiest one to install 900 watt amp, CD changer, 4- 50oz 6X9 three-way speakers and 12" sub woofer.

2nd Gen: Has that great Peterbilt look, firm, but good ride, seats are real comfortable, noisiest (good thing) one of all, VP-44 (not), best ride (IMHO).

3rd Gen: Has that evolved big truck look, Most refined fit and finish of all the Gens, has enough power to not have to BOMB (but why wouldn't you?), ride would be better if tires were't low profile 70s (IMHO).

They're all great turcks and fun to drive.
