Thank's Kyle,

I'm less than an hour from the Wisconsin border, will definetely be calling tomorrow.
We'll have to get together next time I visit the inlaws in Muskegon.

Joesoot, Paul at the junk yard told me that the early 91 Cummins he was getting my parts off of had 80K miles on it and it ran fine but the truck was beat. Hey Paul where in the UP are you from ? My dad lives in Munsing with the most of my brothers & sisters.

Hey Guys, I just found a Junk yard in northern Wisconsin that has a bunch of Dodge Trucks with Cummins being parted out. The guy to talk to is named Paul, he told me that he has Cummins trucks from 1989 to 2001. I just bought a couple parts off a "early 91" and Paul seems to know what he is talking about. They will ship COD or take credit cards. To me this is a big deal, I have been looking for "used" Cummins parts for a couple of years. Their phone number is 1-800-338-4002.

I Just got the parts that I ordered from "Don Scharf Automotive" They were not sure what part of the wiring harness I needed to add cruise, so they sent me the entire underhood wiring harness(which is in a whole lot better shape than the one I have #ad
)and the cruise control motor. Not bad for $75 and that included shipping. Hopefully I will have a working cruise control in my truck by the weekend. By the way does anyone know why Dodge DID NOT put cruise control on the 5 speed trucks from 89 to 91 ?

I don't know why they didn't offer cruise or a tach. Is the wire harness and cruise control motor all that you need to make it work? That is one option I wish I had for the long trips.

So far the only thing that I have needed is the Cruise Control Buttons for the steering wheel(came off a 91 Dodge Dakota) and the brake switch under the dash(borrowed that from my spare 89 Ramcharger dash wiring harness) and the Cruise Motor(from a "early" 91 CTD Dodge W250). So this weekend(if it doesn't snow)I will be installing the cruise motor and see if it works. All the OEM cruise wiring "seems" to be there, so I am hoping that this is a plug-N-pray, opps I ment a plug-n-play install #ad
.
