well i just got my new S&B intake put on the truck yesterday. It was a very easy install, and it looks nice with the clear see thru housing cover. So, i took the truck out for a ride just to see if i could notice a difference. I am thinking it is going to be all Oo. , but it turns out to be :{ . The transmission is stuck in first gear going through my neighborhood - the turbo does whistle pretty good now, but i can't do any celebrating. Finally with some throttle play the transmission shifts into 2nd and it is all good. The truck went through the gears fine and down shifted fine too. But i am still having issues with the 1st gear. I drove the truck around today for about 10 miles and the problem is still there.
the Goerends tq. converter and valve body were put on last June.
the truck is in a heated garage (55 degrees), so i don't think temp. has anything to do with it.
i cleaned all the electrical plugs going into the transmission today, and cleaned up the battery terminals (they looked fine)
i can't imagine adding a cold air intake can make the transmission "goof" up
has anyone had issues like this before? I am planning on stopping at a Auto transmission shop on the way to work tomarrow just to explain to them and get their opinion.
