I've read here and there that the ABS on our trucks sucks. I've also read that if u can't get the ABS and brake lights to go off in dash that u could go behind the glove box n unplug the module. Is that true? Is there anything else going on in that module seems like a lot of wires going in there? I'd like to just unplug it n not worry bout it no more. Also read it could be a sensor above my rear differential. Any thoughts?

Yes, that is true. It is not great. But then again having spent 8 winters in my truck, it is not that bad when you get use to it.

Hmmm. Good question. One I am not sure about. Why bother though? I gather your light is coming on or you just dont want ABS on the truck?

Yes, the sensor could go.

What is your issue? Why are you asking? A bit more info may be good and we could try to track down your issue! :)

Well the ABS and brake are on in the dash n at the same time they went on the Fritz so did my fuel gauge. Wondering if its related. I live in AZ so the ABS really isn't that important to me. But the fuel guage is lol. Well i unplugged it n the lights went out n truck seems fine. Also can't fill fill tank over halfway before it splashes out. I've heard clogged vent? How do i clean? Cud that b tied to gauge?

Sounds like a wiring harness more than a harware issue.

If you have a clogged vent, go under the truck and you will see small hose coming off the engine side of the filler neck. That is the breather for the tank. Fuel in air goes out this tube. Might try seeing if that is plugged.

Mine would not go out no matter what I did New sensor etc. So I painted over the light on the dash itself. OK laugh, but I don't see that annoying light anymore.

Are you sure the tank isn't full? With it splashing out and the gauge FUBAR, could be it is topped off and burping out on the ground?
