1st gen bench to buckets -Bracing?

I found a pair of buckets, but did not have the of seeing the truck they came out of. Both truck are club cab.

-How does the undercab bracing run? What does it tie to? I am ready to fab something up, but would rather not experiment a lot...

Thanks.

Not sure I follow what you're talking about... are you making new cab mounts? Or are you trying to mount bucket seats in a truck that had bench seats?

Yes, I am replacing a bench seat.

I have all the hardware except for whatever was underneath the cab. I assume that was part of the cab anyway, just don't know what it looked like.

You can ignore this, I just noticed you said club cab not crew cab... Sorry about that my fingers were faster than my reading comprehension.

here is a picture of what I did to my buckets to use them on the flat crewcab floor.

I used the reg cab mounts and built spacers to simulate the raised/angles floor of the reg cab. I just lined up the outside holes with the existing bench seat ones and drilled new inside holes. Lined up in the cab pretty well side to side. I did end up putting the bench back in because I found it more comforatable. I didn't change the floor bracing or anything and they felt solid, nidn't rock or wiggle around.

Thanks for the response. Yep it's a club cab, my buckets came out of a club cab, so everything should be the same. The buckets wobble quite a bit, so I need to do somehthing.

I'd like to put bracing in that comes close to looking "stock" if I can.

Anybody got pics?

If I recall you will need some large steel washers or flat bar to act as a stiffener for the floor otherwise the bolts could pull through in an accident. I "stole" the buckets out of my 92 and installed a bench before I sold it. Shadrach

Seats follow up...

Yea, I've done that as well. The seats still woble a lot. Going down the road my passenger seat has a life of its own! I'm thinking that I should extend the bar and follow the contour of the floorboard to point where it bends down and tie each end off with a flat headed bolt. I'll be replacing the carpet, so I don't mind tearing it up for now.
